It is also important that our data collection is cost effective and we have a shared responisbility to make it so - whether it is working together on a survey, or picking up some additional samples for someone elses work, if you're in that location for them... not sure how this can be coordinated though
we've been in discussion already with NRW on how to use our Shoresearch intertidal surveys to be more relevant and available to NRW and others. Our delivery will be aimed at building up knowledge over the next two months, in the hope that some volunteers can continue this beyond the project (ending Feb-March) in self-led groups, perhaps.
This is really important for ecosystem resilience, ensuring that current monitoring reflects where our data / evidence needs are, geographically
